Dermaplaning

Ensure the practitioner is qualified and experienced in dermaplaning.

Discuss any skin sensitivities or conditions with your practitioner beforehand.

Avoid sun exposure and using exfoliating agents on your skin before the treatment.

Follow any specific pre-treatment instructions provided by your skincare professional.

Chemical Peel

A chemical peel is a skin-resurfacing procedure in which a chemical solution is applied to the skin to remove the top layers. The skin that grows back is smoother and younger-looking. Chemical peels are used to treat wrinkles, discolored skin, and scars — usually on the face. They can be done at different depths, from light to deep.

Avoid sun exposure and do not use any harsh skincare products that can irritate the skin before the peel.

Inform the specialist about your skin history, including any previous peels, acne treatments, or sensitivity.

Follow the pre-peel instructions provided by your skincare professional to prepare your skin.

Post-treatment, avoid direct sun exposure and use sunscreen to protect the new skin.

Avoid chemical peels if you have active skin infections, cuts, or severe active acne.

Not recommended for individuals with a history of poor wound healing or certain skin conditions like eczema or rosacea without a doctor’s consent.

Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their physician before undergoing a chemical peel.

If you have taken isotretinoin (Accutane) within the past six months, chemical peels should be avoided.

Microneedling

Microneedling is a cosmetic procedure that involves pricking the skin with tiny sterilized needles. The small wounds cause your body to make more collagen and elastin, which heal your skin and help you look younger. It’s used to treat acne scars, wrinkles, and large pores.

Choose a licensed professional to perform the procedure to ensure it’s done safely and effectively.

Inform the practitioner about your skin history, including any conditions or sensitivities.

Avoid sun exposure and retinol products a few days before the procedure.

Follow the pre-treatment and post-treatment care instructions provided by your practitioner.

Not suitable for individuals with active skin infections, chronic skin disorders, or poor wound healing.

Avoid if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Not recommended for those with a history of keloid scars.

If you’ve recently had radiation therapy or are taking anticoagulant medication, consult your doctor first.
